Composition of natural enemies (parasitoids, predators) of Thrips palmi Karny attacking on Soybean
Summary
Thrips palmi Karny are the most important pests on vegetable crops, it is a serious pests during hot season low rainfall. However, research about this insect pest was scarce. To solve control pest problem and reconize the indigenuos natural enemies of this pest, this research was carried out to survey indigenous natural enemies of Thrips palmi in Gia Lam Hanoi ( Institute for research fruit and vegetables).The study was found 14 scecies of indigenous natural enemies of Thrips palmi, belong to 4 orders (Hemiptera, Thysanoptera, Coleoptera and Hymenoptera). Among 14 species, 13 species are predator and only one species is parasitoid. The relationship of population dynamics between Thrips palmi and Orius sauteri are close relatively, but between Thrips palmi and Orthotylus sp. are stronger.
